About Parker + Co.
Boutique by design: deeper partnerships, sharper advice.
Meet the founder:
Anna Parker
I founded Parker + Co. to do commercial and corporate insurance differently - independently, transparently, and unapologetically on the client's side. With more than 18 years' experience across insurance law and corporate broking, I bring a unique perspective on risk and insurance: the technical depth of a former insurance litigation lawyer who worked on the insurer side of disputes, combined with deep market placement knowledge and relationships across New Zealand and offshore.
I started my career as an insurance litigation lawyer, where I saw first-hand the severe consequences for businesses and professionals who hadn't been properly advised on their cover. That experience drove me into broking, where I went on to specialise in complex liability programs at one of the world's largest broking firms.
That same litigation grounding is what makes me a determined advocate when claims arise. I understand how insurers think, what they will and won't pay, and where the real fight lies. My clients don't just get a broker at renewal - they get someone who can make the policy do the work it was bought to do.
Operating on a transparent fee-for-service model is fundamental to how I work. It means there is no question about whose interests come first: no commissions, no profit-share arrangements, no hidden conflicts. Just clear advice, paid for by the client, given for the client.
